Thank you for this guide. I have been wondering for a while how to back up my iphone contacts and one of the methods I thought was possible on a non-jailbroken phone was via copying to the SIM card. Unfortunately, this is only a viable solution for my old jailbroken 3G.
ReplyDeleteAs I have a newer iPhone 4S which is not jail-broken, I use third-party tools such as copytrans contacts to do the backup:

This way back up my iphone contacts in the form of vCards directly to my computer. Hope that this will help somebody too.
